Comments from the foster mom: Belle is a sweetheart. She's very laid back but will play with toys if you spark her interest, which is great because she could definitely benefit from the exercise. She's on the hefty side so her food will need to be monitored & she will need daily walks, if not several daily walks. She enjoys sitting in the same room as you but on the outskirts so she's not really a lap dog although she has her moments where she wants the lovings & affection. She came in with Max & they both will be adopted together.

We are a small rescue & are limited on our resources. We take great pride in personal doing reference checks as well as home checks along w/ meet & greets to ensure that it is a perfect match all the way around. We are based out of Jacksonville, Fl & our typical adoption radius is 150 miles BUT we have been known to expand that a little for the most perfect home. A home w/ a secured, fenced-in yard is required (note: metal/wrought iron fences are not a secured fence as Max could easily slip thru the spacing. Bird block or another fencing wrapped on the inside could alleviate an escape). Bella is a bit on the over-voluptuous side so they both will need someone that loves walks. If you meet these requirements & want to apply to be reviewed when they are finally ready to be adopted, you can go to our website, go to adoption, fill out the application & email it back to us or if you wish to know more about this pet, please contact PapillonPals@comcast.net .  Meet & greets only happen once we check your references & we will contact you to schedule a time to bring the dog to your home to meet your family.
We don't take calls about our adoptable dogs. We are an all-volunteer organization and do not have a shelter nor a receptionist to take calls and answer questions.  All our dogs are fostered in loving homes by volunteers, most of whom work then come home to take care of their families and the little rescued dogs who live as members of the family.
We desperately need volunteers who are willing to foster little dogs in their homes while we search for approved adopters. We pay all the vet bills and provide supplies to our foster homes. For more information, please email PapillonPals@comcast.net .

Please note that we do not ship our dogs.  We are a very small organization and are located only in Northeast Florida.  We only adopt to families located in the general area that includes Florida and Southern Georgia.
We are an all volunteer organization and do not have a brick and mortar facility.  Please do not call us about our adoptable dogs.  If you email us, we will respond, answering your questions within 48 hours of your inquiry.  Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
Our Adoption Process:  We require an application be completed and submitted if you wish to adopt a dog from Papillon Pals.  Once the application is received, our Adoption Committee reviews the application to make sure the applicant meets the requirements for adopting the dog (for example: requires a fenced yard, or a stay-at-home adopter, etc.).  We then check personal and vet references.  If all is well with the references, we contact the applicant to schedule a time to take the dog to their home and meet all of the family.  All information is then submitted to our Adoption Committee for review/approval.  This process may take up to two weeks to complete.
We desperately need foster homes for newly rescued dogs.  If you think you might be interested in fostering a small dog,  contact Tami, PapillonPals@comcast.net for more information.
