1973 Morgan Out Island 41 Sailboat - Sloop, Shallow Draft, Diesel Runs, Sleeps 8 in Jacksonville, Florida

$10,100

So much boat for the price!!!  This renovated and well-loved 1973 Morgan Out Island 41' is a spacious and comfortable cruising and liveaboard sailboat.  The Morgan Out Island 41' is ranked as one of the "Top 40 Sailboats of All Time" by Cruising World Magazine, and they have proven to be a popular and enduring design.  In fact, this Morgan OI 41' is for sale, because the owners have upgraded to another Morgan Out Island 41'!  This particular sailboat is one of the rare sloop-rigged, walk-over, center-cockpit models with two pilot berths above the settees in the saloon to comfortably sleep 8 people!  The galley is a show-stopper -- completely renovated in 2022 with new marine-grade Mauve microwave, new bamboo butcherblock countertops with 3 huge storage cubbies, new marine stainless steel Scandvik pull-out galley faucet, and new Whale hand-pump faucet.  Freshly refinished teak cabinets, deep stainless double sink, and new spice racks were added, along with space-efficient dish-drying rack and customizable Ikea wall storage system.  The fully functional galley has a nice, gimbaled, 3-burner HilleRange propane stove oven.  The refrigerator is the top-of-the-line Engel MT80 AC/DC Fridge-Freezer (interchangeable DC and AC plugs included).  This energy-efficient Engel fridge uses a trickle of electricity!  This galley is a chef's dream!  The aft Master Cabin features a huge sleeping area (can be arranged as a Double, or as Two Twins with space in the middle).  The Dometic 13,500 BTU Air Conditioner fits perfectly over the aft hatch, and can easily freeze you out even on a hot Florida August day!  The aft bathroom was completely renovated in 2021 with a new Jabsco manual marine head, new custom 24-gal waste storage tank, and all new plumbing and hoses.  In 2019, both forward and aft bathrooms got new, marine-grade sink faucets with pull-out shower handles that mount on the wall.      This boat is priced low, because she was struck by lightning in May 2022.  The boat was immediately hauled out for inspection, and the hull and thru-hulls are fine.  The lightning came down the mast and damaged the Anchor Light, Tri-colored Masthead Light, Spreader Lights, and Steaming Light.  The lightning damaged mainly the DC electrical system (navigational electronics, engine gauges, inverter, battery charger, lights, fans, 6-volt chargers, stereo, and VHF radio do not work).  Parts of the AC electrical system still function, including the one Dometic Air Conditioning Unit, two TVs, one AC electrical outlet in the saloon, and one AC outlet in the galley.  EXTERIOR FEATURES:Exterior deck, hull, sides, and bottom completed sanded, repaired, and painted in 2017.  Mahogany strips embedded in aft and forward companionway covers in 2017.Fiberglass, hard/rigid
